Papers Call for Successful Conclusion of This Year's Farming

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Wednesday note that all the people in the country have turned out in the vigorous struggle to successfully finish this year's farming, true to the idea and spirit of the 10th meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Whether their year-round devotion for attaining the agricultural production goal set by the Party brings good results or not depends on how they make efforts now, the press says. Rodong Sinmun in an editorial stresses that we should successfully realize the Party's plan and intention to achieve a decisive turn in solving the people's food problem by successfully finishing this year's farming, for the sake of the development of the state and our own destinies. All the agricultural officials and workers should fulfill their responsibility and duty in the struggle to conclude the farming, the paper says, and goes on: They should make redoubled efforts in harvesting and threshing, with high awareness that this year's farming entirely depends upon themselves and with high sense of responsibility that they are entrusted with major thrust area of the socialist economic construction. All the people across the country should turn out in harvesting and threshing. All the volunteers should do farming consciously and meticulously in the spirit of doing their own housework, sharing responsibility for farming with agricultural workers. All the officials, Party members and other working people should strive to successfully finish this year's farming, true to the idea and spirit of the of the 10th meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK. Minju Joson in an editorial calls for attaining the grain production goal set by the Party without fail and ushering in a new era of the comprehensive prosperity of the state by waging a vigorous campaign for the successful conclusion of this year's farming.
