Greetings to Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un from General Secretary of C.C., Lao People's Revolutionary Party

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the C.C., Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on October 10.
The Lao president in the message extended warm congratulations and wishes to Kim Jong Un, officials of the WPK Central Committee, all the Party members and fraternal Korean people on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the WPK (October 10, 1945-October 10, 2022).
It went on:
I am very rejoiced and proud over the fact that the fraternal Korean people have firmly defended the gains of the revolution and achieved the political stability, rapid development of national defence and security forces, sustainable development in economy and great successes in the improvement of the people's standard of living in the past 77 years of development of the WPK after its foundation. I am also pleased with the fact that they have achieved victory in the anti-epidemic campaign for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus and clearly enhanced the position and role of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in regional and international arenas by vitalizing the external relations.
We are convinced that the Party, state and people of the DPRK will continue to make greater fresh successes in the defence and development of the country, building of a socialist power and the accomplishment of the cause of achieving the peaceful reunification of the country by implementing the decisions of the 8th Party Congress under the leadership of the WPK led by Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Taking myself of this auspicious opportunity, I wish Comrade Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and success in accomplishing noble cause.
I hope the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties, states and peoples with a long tradition would further strengthen and develop in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the regional and global peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
