WPK Central Committee Congratulates 20th Congress of CPC

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) sent a congratulatory message to the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Sunday which reads as follows: The WPK Central Committee warmly congratulates the 20th Congress of the CPC and sends comradely greetings to all the members of the CPC and the fraternal Chinese people. The CPC built new China by arousing the distress-torn Chinese people and strove for building a modern socialist state, thus making remarkable achievements. By leading the Chinese people while strengthening the Party building and activities for the past decade, the CPC has considerably enhanced China's overall national power and international prestige through a vigorous struggle to achieve the sustained development and prosperity of the state and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The achievements made in China prove that the Chinese people can not be checked in their advance along the path indicated by the idea of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, rallied close around the party. We are sincerely rejoiced over this. The 20th Congress of the CPC is a political event that would provide an important landmark in the new 100-year journey of the Chinese people. The WPK is convinced that the Congress would be a historic one guaranteeing the victorious advance of socialist China and spurring all the people to accomplishing the goal for prosperity of China by further strengthening the leadership ability of the CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core. Today our two parties are defending the common interests of the two peoples and powerfully leading the socialist cause, while invariably supporting and cooperating with each other despite unprecedentedly complicated international environment. The WPK, together with the CPC, will as ever strive to further consolidate and develop our comradely bonds associated with the strenuous efforts of the leaders of the two parties and make sure that their vitality is given more powerful demonstration in all spheres of the DPRK-China relations. The WPK wholeheartedly wishes the 20th Congress of the CPC amazing achievements.
