Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries are getting more hell-bent on the moves against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).
Distorting the truth about ballistic missile test-fire conducted by the DPRK under its regular weapon development program at the beginning of this month, the Japanese reactionaries have incited military tension and aroused the anti-DPRK public opinion through media while setting in motion the nationwide patrol alert system in different regions of Japan.
They more evidently revealed their hostility toward the DPRK by taking an active part and the lead in the dangerous military maneuvers such as the U.S.-south Korea preemptive nuclear attack drills against the DPRK.
At U.S.-Japan-south Korea foreign ministers' meeting and meeting of their chairmen of chiefs of joint staff in February and March last, Japan actively proposed the enforcement of U.S.-Japan-south Korea joint military exercises in the vicinity of the Korean peninsula. Accordingly, it dispatched Aegis destroyer Asahi of its Maritime "Self-Defense Force" to the combined anti-submarine warfare drill staged in the East Sea of Korea around Tok Island on September 30 for the purpose of detecting and attacking the DPRK's submarines.
Shortly ago, the U.S. nuclear carrier task force on the way back to a port in Japan reentered the East Sea of Korea to be hell-bent on the U.S.-Japan-south Korea combined naval maneuvers. It has been recently disclosed that this was realized as Prime Minister Kishida gave a shot in the arm of the U.S. master.
On October 6, Kishida phoned the south Korean authority to urge the strengthened U.S.-Japan-south Korea military cooperation against the DPRK.
Moreover, the Japanese reactionaries offered a part of their archipelago to Vigilant Storm, the large-scale U.S.-south Korea combined air drill staged to directly target the DPRK, as a sortie base and thus revealed once again their intention to play a role in the moves for aggression on the DPRK.
It is the height of shamelessness for Japan to daringly describe the DPRK's regular military activities as "threat" and provocation", kicking up an anti-DPRK campaign.
Far from honestly admitting the past crimes and making an apology and reparation to the Korean people, the Japanese reactionaries do not conceal their scheme for invading Tok Island, an inviolable territory of the Korean nation, and the whole Korean peninsula.
Worse still, they are posing threat and blackmail even to Chongryon and Korean schoolchildren in Japan.
Recently, they have repeated vicious acts against Chongryon organizations and Korean residents in Japan by instigating right-wing gangsters, with twelve cases of threats, violence and revilement against Korean schools and students in Japan reported.
In particular, a vicious graffito "If one kills a Korean in Japan, one will be paid" was discovered at a railway station in Gunma Prefecture, where the Korean primary and middle school was delivered a monstrous chauvinistic document in the name of "the chief of the Gunma prefectural branch of the association for exterminating the Koreans in Japan".
The present situation of Japan, reminding one of the time of the great Kanto quake in the last century, has been clearly created due to the deliberate moves of the authorities to stamp out the DPRK and Chongryon. It is another grave political provocation to the DPRK and a disgusting, unethical and political act that can never be justified.
Clear is the aim sought by the Japanese reactionaries in getting frantic in their moves against the DPRK and Chongryon. It is aimed to instill into the Japanese people the extreme hostility toward and horror against the DPRK and Chongryon, and thus justify the moves for aggression on the DPRK and create a favorable situation for stepping up the work of turning Japan into a military giant.
The DPRK had already and solemnly clarified that the launch of a new-type ground-to-ground intermediate-range ballistic missile on Oct. 4 is a warning to the enemies to cope with the unstable situation prevailing on the Korean peninsula.
Whether this warning will lead to a real result or not entirely depends on the attitude of the hostile forces including Japan.
The Korean residents in Japan are full-fledged overseas citizens of the DPRK with invincible national power.
We regard the persecution and suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan as a challenge and violation of the DPRK's dignity and sovereignty.
The Japanese reactionaries will have to pay a dear price for their hostile moves against the DPRK and Chongryon. -0-
