Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries are inciting the Japanese people to extreme hostility towards the DPRK.

They are persisting in threats, violence and abuse against the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and students at Korean schools in Japan on the pretext of the DPRK's powerful military reaction.

Japan, stunned by the might of the DPRK's absolute weapon flying over its archipelago, is so base as to take Koreans in Japan hostages in an attempt to dampen our will to bolster up the military capability.

Those reckless acts against the overseas compatriots' organization and compatriots of the dignified DPRK are a clear serious political provocation against our state and a manifestation of their hostile hysterics against the DPRK.

Japan is viciously trying to weaken the ever-increasing DPRK's capability for self-defence.

Spreading the fiction of a "threat from surroundings" so often, Japan is persistently building up the public opinion against the DPRK. And it, together with the U.S. and south Korea, keeps staging the adventurous joint naval and air drills targeting the DPRK.

At the beginning of the year, Japan proposed waging a joint military exercise against the DPRK in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula, and became vociferate about "joint prevention" against the "threat" from the DPRK at the meetings with the U.S. and south Korea.

Japan held a joint drill with an aircraft-carrier task force of the U.S. Navy and an exercise of sharing the ballistic missile information in the East Sea of Korea in April. In September and October, it also waged a combined antisubmarine warfare drill aimed at detecting and attacking the DPRK's submarines, a combined drill involving the U.S. nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan in the East Sea of Korea, and a combined drill with the U.S. Air Force in the sky over the East Sea of Korea. Those exercises were just part of the military drills of aggression in which Japan took part this year.

At the recent U.S.-Japan-south Korea tripartite summit meeting, Japan branded the DPRK's legitimate and just countermeasures, incited by their military threat, as a "provocation" and talked about a "powerful and determined reaction."

Under the pretext of the DPRK's military reactions for self-defence, Japan is putting spurs to the moves to turn itself into a military giant and making preparations for war of aggression.

This being a hard reality, Japan is describing itself as a "peace" force in the international arena. And Japan is gagging the media in a bid to conceal its involvements in the military provocations and hurling a string of abuses at Koreans in Japan so as to tarnish the DPRK's image.

If Japan persists in the anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon moves, only its hostile policy towards the DPRK and reactionary true colors will be exposed to the world.
