Japanese Reactionaries' Desperate Efforts for War Preparation

Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries openly reveal their sinister ambition for invasion of other countries.

Recently, Japan disclosed that it would work out a new "control" outlines on the procedures of transferring the command over the Coast Guard to the Japanese defense minister in the event of contingency.

This shows the intention of the Japanese reactionaries to put even the police force under the control of the military on the pretext of coping with "threats from neighboring countries" as part of their stepped-up preparations for overseas aggression.

The Japanese reactionaries have long persisted in the moves to strengthen "ties" between the "Self-Defense Forces" (SDF) and the maritime security forces and mature the combat-readiness for their joint operation.

The Coast Guard is continuously hurled into all kinds of military drills with the SDF, to say nothing of carrying out its ordinary duty of guarding territorial waters, and even dispatched to joint military exercises with other countries to attain the full capability to execute a war of aggression.

The reactionaries also pushed ahead with modernizing the armed forces to be put under their command, as evidenced by equipping them with U.S. reconnaissance drones and the intention to spend vast sums on the building of three large patrol vessels.

They are also running amuck to scrap Article 25 of the code of the Japan Coast Guard which denies it to act as an army. And on November 8, the defense minister publicly underscored the importance to strengthen solidarity between the maritime police forces and the Maritime SDF, an open disclosure of their intention to gird for overseas aggression.

It is needless to say what the exact purpose of the "control" outlines being mapped out against this backdrop is.

The international community and people from all walks of life in Japan are now becoming increasingly vocal against the dangerous preparations for reinvasion pushed ahead by the Japanese reactionaries.

The Japanese reactionaries are, indeed, heinous harassers of peace and security in the region and the rest of the world, a force of aggression that must be resolutely countered by the united efforts of humankind and a fascist mob in the East. -0-
