Japan's Ambition for Overseas Expansion Will Bring It Ruin: KCNA Commentary

Date: 02/12/2022 | Source: KCNA.kp (En) | Read original version at source

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Japan is speeding up its moves to become a military giant.

It is planning to jointly develop the next-generation fighter of the Air "Self-Defence Force" with Britain and Italy and massively deploy them by 2035.

It is also mulling developing on its own new-type drones capable of carrying out attack on targets, reconnaissance of specific areas and air warfare duty for their deployment in around 2030.

This shows dangerous attempt at reinvasion to massively develop and deploy military hardware for preemptive attack and realize the ambition for overseas expansion at any cost.

Japan is a heinous war criminal state that has rushed for becoming a military giant from the moment of its defeat, out of revanchist ambition for reinvasion.

It has turned into an overseas base for war supplies of foreign forces after the Second World War, becoming a major source of escalating regional tension today. It is now emerging again as a militarist country, freeing itself from legislative restrictions that deny it the possession of regular forces, to say nothing of the right to belligerency and the right to take part in wars.

By spending the largest-ever "defence expenditure" every year, it has spurred the development of its own weapons as well as the introduction of ultra-modern war hardware from abroad.

The scope of military operation of the "Self-Defense Forces" and the level of their armament have far exceeded the principle of "exclusive defence".

Japan, however, openly utters that to mount a preemptive attack is not in breach of constitution, while citing unconditional increase of "defence expenditure" by 2 % of GDP by 2027 in order to possess the "capability of attacking enemy base".

The nonstop arms buildup conducted by Japan, as evidenced by the possession of a carrier and development of hypersonic missile, is part of the military preparations for realizing overseas expansion.

Japan's joining Britain and Italy in development of next-generation fighter is just aimed to help the Air "Self-Defense Force" acquire preemptive attack ability at an early date.

The war criminal state that idolizes aggression of Korea and other Asian countries in the past as an "emancipation war" can commence reinvasion any moment now, revealing its true nature.

The history of aggression by the Japanese imperialists can never be allowed to repeat.

The arms buildup aimed at reinvasion will spark off strong vigilance and due counteraction of the international community, and will accelerate the ruin of Japan. -0-
