Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Many officials of ministries, national institutions and power organs and enterprises across the DPRK have enrolled in the tele-education system to acquire advanced science and technology.
This year alone, the number of them totals over 10 000, and the enthusiasm of officials for studying science and technology is growing stronger day by day.
Officials of ministries and national institutions, including the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, the State Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, are making strenuous efforts for fear of becoming a dropout of the times.
Officials of power organs in different parts of the country, including North and South Phyongan and South Hamgyong provincial people's committees and the Rason City People's Committee, are displaying a revolutionary habit of studying to prepare themselves to be competent officials steering their regional development by dint of science and technology.
Officials at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and other key industrial establishments are working hard to get advanced science and technology so as to give a strong impetus to the development of their units.
Officials of the Pyongyang Condiments Factory and many other light industrial units strive to enhance their ability through the on-line in-service training so that they can fully solve the urgent scientific and technological problems arising in putting the production processes on a modern and scientific basis. -0-
