Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory, a model of the potato processing industry in the DPRK, is in Samjiyon City of Ryanggang Province, a leading potato producer of the country.
The factory has produced potato farina and various kinds of processed potatoes for the improvement of the people's diet.
It is associated with the immortal feats made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to provide the people with more tasty and nutritious processed potatoes.
One day in December Juche 106 (2017), Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, visited the factory, which was newly built into a modern potato farina producer with large capacity in a short span of time on his initiative.
Going round different places of the factory, he said that more production equipment and facilities of various kinds should be installed additionally at the factory to turn out in a larger quantity such processed potato products as nutritive rice, chips, twisted doughnuts, noodles and udong as well as farina and thus make them known to the whole country as special products of the then Samjiyon County.
Urging the factory to play its role in a responsible manner so as to bring substantial benefit to the people, he set forth the tasks for its operation and management, including the issue of deepening the research into processed potatoes to steadily increase the variety of processed goods favored by the people.
True to his instructions, the factory established a new process for producing processed potatoes and has steadily increased the production by introducing valuable technical innovations to supply potato farina and various processed potato products to the people. -0-
