Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- True to the intention of the Party to change the country's structure of grain production and push ahead with rice and wheat farming, the South Hwanghae Provincial Brigade under the Land Realignment Shock Brigade has turned hundreds of hectares of dry fields into paddy ones this year.
Officials of the brigade launched operations and command to turn dry fields high in fertility and favorable for irrigation into paddy ones.
Members of the shock brigade dispatched to farms in Paechon, Yonan, Chongdan and Pongchon counties raised the operation rate of bulldozers, thus realigning much more land than planned this year.
The brigade has also organized a working team with high-skilled drivers and managed to acquire more than ten hectares of new land.
The fields in South Hwanghae Province are face-lifted with each passing day thanks to the devoted efforts of the officials of the brigade and the shock brigade members. -0-
