Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA) released the following statement on Tuesday:
On December 6, the specified artillery sub-units of the KPA on the eastern front fired 82 shells of multiple rocket launchers towards the sea for 8 hours and 30 minutes as part of their counteraction and warning against the enemy's shelling in the area near the front, at the instruction of the General Staff.
This was clearly the KPA's counteraction and warning military action against the enemy's planned sinister provocation attempt.
The enemies intentionally fired tens of shells of multiple rocket launchers at the firing range near the front where it is within eyeshot and provoked the unavoidable response of the KPA. And they are going to shift the blame on the DPRK, letting out trite sophism that it is a violation of the "September 19 North-South Military Agreement".
Taking into consideration of the breach of the "agreement", the past actions made by the enemy in violation of it should be calculated first.
The KPA seriously warns the enemy side once again to stop at once the irritating military actions in the area close to the front.
To put it flatly, our military counteraction against the continued provocative actions of the enemies will be more offensive as the days go by. -0-
