Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- Scientists and technicians in the railway transport sector of the DPRK have scored remarkable success in the purposive research for the development of railway transport.
This year they have made and introduced dozens of scientific and technical innovations and thus contributed to consolidating the material and technical foundations in railway transport.
Scientists and technicians at the railway institute opened up vistas of improving the quality index of railway sleepers.
They, together with other units, developed a driving control system program and applied other research findings, thereby contributing to further updating the Korean-style modern tube train.
Scientists of the Railway Construction Institute made strides towards developing the program to measure information on iron bridge, tunnel, etc. and towards guaranteeing the security of train service scientifically and technologically.
Other scientists and technicians of the railway transport have carried out the research for the settlement of sci-tech problems arising in perfecting the electric locomotive and passenger car suited to the topographical conditions of the country and making all the railways of the country standard ones. -0-
