A Factory to Be Conducive to Realizing the Comprehensive Mechanization of Agriculture

It is a plan of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the rural areas across the country into a socialist countryside where the agricultural workers do farming by modern farm machines made at home.
At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December Juche 110(2021), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un stressed the need to develop the Kumsong Tractor Factory into a comprehensive factory which can produce different kinds of efficient farm machines including tractors with high horsepower. It was his long-conceived plan.
Kim Hyon Chol, Department Director of the Ministry of Machine-Building Industry, says:
"The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid deep attention to changing the Kumsong Tractor Factory into a core factory which will provide a guarantee to the realization of comprehensive mechanization of agriculture.
He visited the factory on November 14, 2017. Saying he called at the factory to take measures for its modernization, he unfolded a plan to turn it into a core factory for realizing the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture.
He put forward the tasks for rebuilding the factory on a modern basis and gave important instructions on it. He also saw that powerful builders were sent and equipment and building materials needed for the project supplied."
After his field guidance to the factory, Kim Jong Un frequently learned about the production of tractors and remodeling of the factory before taking necessary measures.
Under his energetic guidance, the first-stage goal of remodeling the Kumsong Tractor Factory could be attained at the end of last year.
As a result, a solid foundation for mass-producing highly efficient tractors and farm machines could be laid, making it possible to vigorously push ahead with the development of the vehicle machine industry of the country.
