Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- Provinces of the DPRK are pushing ahead with the work for regional development and improvement of people's living standard.
North Hwanghae Province has directed efforts to the sustained development of sericulture, after setting it as the main task for this year to lay a foundation for the supply of high-yielding strains. It also pays attention to laying a firm foundation for ensuring the safety of cocoon production.
South Hwanghae Province dispatched hundreds of teachers, scientists and researchers of agricultural universities and research institutes to rural areas to boost enthusiasm for scientific farming.
The province held a short course on the Juche farming method for agricultural officials in cities and counties and launched the work for preparing the junior officials in rural areas as masters of scientific farming.
Officials and working people in North Phyongan Province are pushing ahead with the work to increase the production of organic compound fertilizer. The province has secured hundreds of thousands of tons of raw materials to provide a guarantee for increasing the production of organic compound fertilizer.
