Remodelling of Universities Promoted in DPRK

True to the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Workers’ Party of Korea Central Committee, several provinces set high goals of remodeling teachers training colleges, universities of education and agricultural universities and concentrate their forces on achieving them.
South Hamgyong Province directs efforts into construction of Hamhung Choe Hui Suk Teachers Training College under the guidance of the provincial party committee.
It mobilized the building forces including the urban construction brigade of the province to accelerate the construction at the final stage.
North Phyongan Province pushes ahead with the construction of Sinuiju Teachers Training College by mobilizing building forces of cities and counties, thus stepping up the completion of the college after building its schoolhouse, gymnasium and dormitory.
Kangwon Province completed the construction of the schoolhouse, dormitory and gymnasium of Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College and pushes forward with its interior building.
North Hamgyong Province remodeled Kim Jong Suk Teachers Training College last year and actively accelerates the remodeling of Chongjin O Jung Hup University of Education and Chongjin University of Agriculture.
At present, the remodeling of schoolhouses and foundation works of gymnasiums, dormitories and libraries are promoted in the universities.
The provinces push forward with the remodeling of the universities despite difficult situations with a single mind of realizing the intention of our Party to provide the rising generations with better educational conditions and environment.
