Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- True to the decision of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on directing big efforts to the development of sports, the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee has planned diverse activities to raise the hot wind of Taekwon-Do throughout society, taking concrete steps for implementing its plan.
The committee makes substantial preparations for widely disseminating Taekwon-Do and organizing various forms of Taekwon-Do course.
Efforts are directed to preparing theoretical lectures to give a detailed explanation of the origin, development, advantages, might and development of Taekwon-Do on the basis of historical facts.
The committee is also pushing ahead with the work to put the Taekwon-Do dissemination on a modern and IT basis. It strives to update the Korean style program "Taekwon-Do of Korea" that helps people have a good understanding of the time-honored culture and tradition of the country and learn Taekwon-Do by themselves.
In line with the growing number of working people and youth and students hoping to gain a grade and degree of Taekwon-Do, it is taking practical measures to examine them through the homepage "Pyongyang Thaekgyon".
It also pays attention to making various videos helpful to the education of Taekwon-Do and distributing them to educational units at all levels and publishing books on the common knowledge and skills of Taekwon-Do. -0-
