Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea assigned to the Ryongsong Machine Complex the task of producing custom-built equipment badly needed for the key industrial sectors.
Its officials are conducting operations and command for the production of custom-built equipment.
The complex is making strenuous efforts to expand the casting production capacity, shorten the overall processing time of material to the maximum and fully ensure the quality of custom-built equipment.
Meanwhile, the work is being conducted to give priority to the supply of alloy steel and major raw and other materials in close touch with the relevant units.
The steel casting workshop No. 1 finished the repair of electric furnace with large capacity in a matter of ten days and has pushed ahead with the work for processing material essential for producing important parts at 50 percent.
The Songun iron casting plant strives to increase the production of castings and the steel casting workshop No. 2 is shortening the production cycle of steel castings by more than half.
The machine workshop No. 1 and the large machine-tool workshop are working hard to increase the machining accuracy of their products. They are now registering good production results, several times higher than the same period of last year.
Innovations have been witnessed in the production of custom-built equipment thanks to the devoted efforts of workers, technicians and officials of the complex. -0-
