Ever-worsening anti-Russia Confrontational Mania

Date: 31/01/2023 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

With the Ukrainian crisis lasting almost for a year, anti-Russia confrontation racket of the Western countries is getting ever undisguised.

The EU Summit held in Brussel in December last year adopted 9 th round of sanctions resolution on Russia since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis.

As a result, more than 200 politicians and pressmen of Russia and 168 munitions entities are added to the sanctions list, aeroengines, drone accessories, radio navigation system and other products of double use are banned from being exported, investment in mining industry is prohibited, assets of three banks are frozen and four TV companies are banned from broadcasting.

In the new year, NATO members like the US, the UK and Germany raised voices that the Ukrainian army can turn the tide of the war if it is equipped with powerful MBTs of the West instead of outdated Soviet tanks and expressed one after another their stand to deliver to Ukraine modern means of strike including 100-odd heavy tanks of “Abrams M1”, “Challenger-2” and “Leopard – 2” series, hundreds of self-propelled howitzers and “Apache” helicopters.

Such anti-Russia hostile acts of the Western countries are evoking strong backlash of Russia.

On January 17, Russian Foreign Ministry announced in its statement that Russia adds to the list of prohibited entrants high-level officials of EU organizations and countries involved in the military aid to Ukraine as a countermeasure to the 9 th anti-Russia sanctions of the EU.

Also, the vice-chairman of Security Council of the Russian Federation, press secretary of the Russian President and other high-ranking officials expressed their firm will to continue the military operation against Ukraine until the end overcoming all kinds of challenges and difficulties.

They also issued a serious warning that each and every Western tank delivered to Ukraine will be burned down.

Situation analysts are commenting that NATO’s attempt to aid Ukraine with powerful means of attack is clearly an act of crossing Russia’s “red line” which will certainly evoke Russia’s strong counteraction.

Russia will not sit back and watch the Western countries’ reckless sanctions and pressure and military threat aimed at isolating and undermining Russia.
