Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- The 7th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) was held through video conferencing on Feb. 1.
Present there were members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee.
Attending it as observers were officials of the Central Committee and the provincial, city and county committees of the SWUK.
The meeting discussed the issue for carrying through the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the C.C., SWUK, said in a report that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's report at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK serves as a banner leading the Party and the people to achieve the substantial development and change for the prosperity of the state by increasing the great and inexhaustible strength of single-minded unity.
She analyzed and reviewed the work of the women's union organizations for carrying out the important tasks set forth at the 8th Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee, and referred to the measures for enhancing the role of the women's union in this year's struggle.
The reporter called upon all the union officials and members to make contributions to glorifying this year as a year of great turn and change to be recorded in the course of the development of the DPRK.
