The Sixth Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) took place through video conferencing on Feb. 1.
Present there were members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee.
Union officials in Pyongyang and regions attended the meeting as observers.
The meeting discussed the issue for thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
Yun Chol, vice-chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, noted in a report that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth C.C., WPK proudly reviewed the all-people struggle of 2022, in which remarkable development was made, and indicated the orientation of advance under the changing revolutionary situation.
The reporter called upon all the union officials and members to contribute to unconditionally attaining the agricultural production goal for this year and building a guarantee for the sustainable and stable growth of agriculture and thus demonstrate the might of the vanguard unit in implementing the Party’s programme for socialist rural construction.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
The meeting adopted a relevant resolution on the basis of the study of its draft.
