Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- True to the idea and spirit of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the fishing sector of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the work to stage aquaculture on a large scale.
Officials of the Ministry of Fisheries and other relevant units have directed primary efforts to ensuring the shallow-sea culture in a sci-tech way to raise the productivity after expanding its area.
The offshore farms in the west coastal area carried out their kelp production plan for January and are now conducting every work as required by the technical regulations despite unfavorable weather conditions.
