Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- South Phyongan, North Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces and Kaesong City of the DPRK are stepping up the preparations for immediate farming, true to the idea of the Workers' Party of Korea on concentrating all efforts on raising good crops this year.
Farms in South Phyongan Province set it as their primary task to improve the fertility of soil, select seeds and distribute varieties in a sci-tech way, and have pushed ahead with all farm work in a three-dimensional way.
North Hamgyong Province has propelled the production of huminite in a planned way while securing farming materials and repairing and maintaining the farm implements and pumping equipment.
Cities and counties of Kangwon Province concentrate their efforts on the production and transport of manure while ensuring in an effective way the technical study of the issues arising in the improvement of soil in low-yielding areas.
Kaesong City, too, organized concentrated transport of high-quality manure to farms through a mass campaign. -0-
