Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites Kicks Off

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Members of the three-revolution teams from across the DPRK kicked off their study tour of revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

A kick-off meeting took place at the plaza before the statue of Chairman Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City on Feb. 6.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of the Chairman and made a deep bow to him.

Vice-Chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology An Kyong Gun made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the three-revolution vanguard from across the country are to make a study tour of the battle sites of Mt Paektu pulsating with the spirit of guerrillas on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's famous work "Let Us Bring About Fresh Turn in Work of Three-Revolution Teams as Required by New Situation" and the 50th anniversary of the start of the three-revolution team movement.

They called for fully displaying the spirit of devotedly defending the leader, the core of the spirit of Mt Paektu, and fulfilling their responsibility and duty as three-revolution standard-bearers in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea with the fortitude, fighting spirit and revolutionary spirit displayed by the first generation of the revolution.

At the end of the meeting, the expedition marched towards the battle sites of the anti-Japanese war, flying a red flag in the van of the ranks. -0-
