Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The Korean People's Army (KPA) has creditably fulfilled its duty and role as the main force of building a thriving nation and creator of the people's happiness for a long period since it had the word "people" in its name, thus leaving a clear chapter in the history of the country.
It is a tradition peculiar to the KPA to go through thick and thin for the good of the people and devote itself to ensuring their laughter and happiness.
In his speech on the significant day of proclaiming the founding of the KPA, President Kim Il Sung clarified that the KPA is an army serving the people, and made sure that the KPA always plays a vanguard role in the worthwhile struggle for the sake of the people.
Under the wise guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Il , who led the KPA to invariably preserve its popular character both in name and reality, the KPA has always demonstrated its might as an army for the people, taking deep root among them, a source of its life and support.
This glorious tradition of the KPA which has been consolidated during the annals of the revolution is being successfully carried forward as it is holding the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK.
Calling for keeping on holding aloft the slogan "Let Us Help the People!" put forward by the Chairman, Kim Jong Un put forward the KPA to the first line of a gigantic drive for creation. Encouraged by his trust, the soldiers of the KPA have created legendary stories about the construction startling the world people over the past ten years.
During those days, socialist fairyland-like villages were built in every area hit by natural disasters, huge greenhouse farms were completed and other eye-opening miracles and epochal entities brought about one after another.
The people's happy laughter is always heard from Ryomyong Street, Songhwa Street, the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District and other modern streets and dwelling houses, Masikryong Ski Resort, Yangdok Hot Spring Resort and other fantastic resorts built by the KPA.
The service personnel of the KPA, bearing in mind the sacred word "people", as the most sacred one, true to the high intention of Kim Jong Un , are wonderfully fulfilling their mission and duty as creators of the people's happiness. -0-
