Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on Tuesday.
In the message, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , on behalf of the DPRK government and people and on his own behalf, expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the president and, through him, to the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic and the inhabitants in the afflicted areas upon the news that heavy casualties and material losses were caused by a strong earthquake in the northwestern part of Syria.
Being convinced that under the correct leadership of the president, the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic will eradicate the aftermath of the earthquake damage as soon as possible and stabilize the living conditions of the people in the afflicted areas, he extended firm solidarity to the Syrian people in their just struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. -0-
