Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, gave a statement to media on the 19th.
The statement reads.
If they truly worry about the situation on the Korean peninsula and want peace and stability, all the countries should never tolerate the high-handedness and tyranny of the United States to turn the UN Security Council with a heavy responsibility for the international peace and security into an organization for implementing its heinous hostile policy towards the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
They also should not connive at the wicked acts of the United States and its followers to force a legitimate sovereign state to give up its right to self-defence, but make them know that it is a vain effort.
This time, too, our enemy committed an undisguised encroachment upon the sovereignty of the DPRK groundlessly.
Always talking about expanded deterrent and joint defence posture under the pretext of coping with so-called threat, the United States and south Korea get undisguised in their dangerous greed and attempt to gain military upper hand and hold predominant position in the region around the Korean peninsula. It disturbs the stability of the region and further jeopardizes the situation every moment.
The United States should stop nonsense for deceiving the world that it is not hostile to the DPRK, but open to the dialogue, give up its silly attempt to make time through the dialogue, discontinue all acts of threatening the security of our state, refrain from tarnishing the image of the DPRK and always give deep thought for its prospective security.
South Korea had better ponder over what misfortune it would suffer after behaving as if it were brave and recklessly meddling in every affair as now.
I tell the fools that we will not aim at Seoul with an intercontinental ballistic missile.
We still have no intention to deal with south Korea.
Upon the authorization, I warn that we will watch every movement of the enemy, respond to every hostile act against us and take very powerful and overwhelming countermeasures.
