The Enlarged Meeting of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was convened at the office building of the WPK Central Committee on February 26.
The plenary meeting will analyze and review the work in 2022, the first year of implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, and decide on the immediate important tasks and the urgent tasks arising at the present stage of the national economic development and the practical ways for implementing them.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, was present at the meeting.
Attending it were Kim Tok Hun and Jo Yong Won, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.
Members and alternate members of the WPK Central Committee also attended the meeting, and officials of the Cabinet, ministries, national agencies and provincial-, city- and county-level leadership bodies and officials in the agricultural field and relevant fields and units were present there as observers.
Officials of relevant departments of the Party Central Committee are also participating in the meeting as observers through videoconferencing.
A presidium of the plenary meeting was elected.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un presided over the meeting.
The meeting unanimously approved the agenda items and went into discussion of the first agenda item.
It heard a report on the work in the first year in implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era.
