Recently, a U.S. reporter released an article which indicates that the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline in Europe in September 2022 was a deliberate act of destruction prearranged by the Biden administration. This is now drawing attention of the international community.
In connection to this report, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry said on February 14 that the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline, a multinational energy supply facility, gave a big negative impact on the global energy market and ecosystem. Then he continued that if the report proved to be authentic, it is quite natural for the U.S. to answer for it.
Prior to this, a Chinese network noted that it is quite doubtful as the U.S. keeps mum about the incident in sharp contrast to its earlier claim that it will find out circumstances behind it through investigation. Then it recalled what the Fox emcee had said in a TV program, which is indicating that the U.S. might have had a hand in the incident.
It further said that American reporter’s article provided an important clue to the investigation of the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline. It also emphasized that the U.S., harping on about the international order based on rules, should clear the doubts of the international community and give a responsible answer to the world by actively co-operating in the multilateral joint investigation.
On February 22, the spokesman for Chinese foreign ministry demanded for an earliest disclosure of the truth of the incident saying that the truth will be brought to light even though the concerned country dismisses the authentic evidences for the explosion of “Nord Stream” gas pipeline and insists in a word that it is a complete lie and purely made-up story. The spokesperson also hoped that an objective and specialized investigation on the incident is conducted at the earliest possible date so as to ensure the safety of the multinational infrastructure and safeguard peace and stability of the region and the world.
Chinese media are now saying that it is quite suspicious as the U.S. keeps quiet about the article of its own reporter shifting from its earlier incitement of anti-Russia feelings. Immediate after the incident, the U.S., it said, scolded Russia for no good reason while branding the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline as an act of Russia. The media are also saying that the mastermind behind the incident should be found out without fail and brought to justice.
