Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected various units in Sukchon County, South Phyongan Province. Going round Yoldusamchon, Yakjon and Chili farms, he encouraged the officials and agricultural workers who are devoting themselves to the immediate farming with the single mind to attain this year's goal for grain production without fail, true to the idea and spirit of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK. He stressed that officials should make redoubled efforts to implement the strategy for rural development set forth by the Party, calling upon them to meticulously map out and carrying out effective plans for bringing about a radical change in agricultural production including the improvement of soil fertility and the introduction of advanced farming methods and to vigorously conduct mass movements including the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement to give steady momentum to the mental power of the masses. Visiting farm machine stations, farm implements factory and forest management station in the county, Choe Ryong Hae called for positively developing and introducing farm machines and implements suited to the regional features to decisively raise the proportion of mechanization in agricultural production, taking thorough measures for supplying farming apparatuses urgently needed in farms, and directing efforts to putting the production of tree saplings on a scientific and intensive basis as required by the Party's policies. He said that officials of the agricultural guidance organs at all levels should bear in mind the duty and responsibility they have assumed for carrying out proper farming this year and attaining the long-term goal of agricultural development and devote themselves to implementing the Party's policy on agriculture. And he asked deputies to power organs to take the lead in solving a problem related with agricultural production. Meanwhile, Choe Ryong Hae learned about the law-abiding work of the Sukchon County People's Committee and discussed and took measures to intensify the role of power organs in conducting education in law observance among the working people in a methodological way and making the popular policies of the Party and the state be correctly implemented.
