Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- Enlarged plenary meetings of party committees of the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Pyongyang Construction Commission, the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports took place from March 14 to 17 to implement the resolutions of the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Attending the plenary meetings were members and alternate members of the relevant party committees, and present there as observers were officials concerned.

The meetings reviewed the 2022 work for implementing the programme of rural revolution in the new era and decided on the measures for thoroughly carrying out the political tasks assigned to the sectors and units for this year on the basis of the idea and spirit of the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

Reports were made at the meetings.

The reporters said that the important conclusion, made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the plenary meeting of the WPK Central Committee, indicates the principles and fighting strategies arising in achieving the sustained and systematic development of agricultural production under the uplifted banner of the rural revolution and turning the countryside into a highly civilized and rich socialist paradise.

The meetings comprehensively analyzed and reviewed the successes and experience gained in implementation of the resolutions of the relevant Party committees last year as well as the shortcomings and lessons drawn from them.

They discussed the issues for making the masses have a deep understanding of the intention of the Party Central Committee, which set the attainment of the grain production goal as the first target of the 12 major goals for the development of the national economy, and for strengthening labor and material support to the countryside.

Put on the agenda were urgent issues arising in thoroughly implementing the Party's policies on establishing the discipline in implementing the national economic plan and financially guaranteeing the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialist construction.

There were sectional consultative meetings for working out a perfect action program for carrying out the political tasks facing each unit on the basis of the tasks for this year set forth by the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

Resolutions were adopted at those plenary meetings amid the high enthusiasm and strong will of the participants to uphold with patriotism and loyalty the Party's plan and intention to surely attain the grain production goal for this year and bring about a radical change in the development of agriculture. -0-
