Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Enlarged plenary meetings of Pyongyang City and provincial party committees took place from March 15 to 19 to implement the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The plenary meetings were attended by members and alternate members of the provincial party committees and observed by officials of the party and power organs and administrative and economic bodies in the relevant regions.

The plenary meetings discussed in depth the important tasks, innovative goals and scientific ways for bringing about a radical turn in developing the country's agriculture and improving the people's living standard by translating into brilliant reality the great programme of rural revolution set forth by the WPK on the basis of the idea and spirit of the historic plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee.

Reports were made at the plenary meetings.

The reporters said that the important conclusion made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea is a milestone of a new leap of epochal significance in ushering in a new era in which the socialist countryside changes and a heyday for development of the self-supporting economy, and an inspiring banner and immortal great programme for leading the historic advance of the entire party and all the people to a great victory.

They called upon the party organizations at all levels to conduct a vigorous political and ideological offensive to arouse officials, party members and other working people to the drive for implementing the programme of rural revolution in the new era true to the noble intention of the Party Central Committee and thus fully display their fighting efficiency in implementing the resolutions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee.

The plenary meetings of the provincial Party committees had sectional consultative meetings for working out perfect plans for carrying out urgent and important tasks set forth before their regions in the struggle to implement the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

Resolutions of the plenary meetings were adopted with unanimous approval amid the high enthusiasm of the participants to give full play to their meticulous organizational abilities and tenacious practical abilities with awareness of the heavy responsibility they have assumed before the Party and the revolution. -0-
