Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The number of centenarians is on a steady increase in the DPRK.
Kim O Gum in Ingye-ri, Hoeryong City, North Hamgyong Province, received a birthday spread sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on her 100th birthday.
Spending her birthday amid best wishes from officials of the Hoeryong City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, her family members, relatives and neighbors, she expressed her deep gratitude towards Kim Jong Un .
Born in Onsong County before the liberation of the country, she lived in grief of being a slave of a stateless nation, subject to all sorts of maltreatment and contempt. She was able to enjoy a worthwhile life as a master of the country and land in the homeland liberated by President Kim Il Sung .
Spending her life in farm work for decades, she has worked hard to contribute to the country even after becoming a pensioner.
She always tells her children to do more work for the grateful country, saying that the socialist system in the DPRK is the best in the world where doctors visit households and all the citizens help and take care of each other. -0-
