Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The 2nd meeting of headquarters chairpersons of the 25th Congress of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) took place at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on March 16-17.

Attending it were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U, Vice-Chairman and Director of the General Affairs Department Pae Jin Gu, Vice-Chairman Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Education Department Song Kun Hak and Vice-Chairman and Director of the Department for International Affairs and Reunification So Chung On of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and concurrently chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, members of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairpersons of headquarters of Chongryon.

Councilors and vice department directors of the Central Committee of Chongryon and members of its Central Audit Committee were present as observers.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

Pak Ku Ho made a report at the meeting.

The report said that the present stirring reality, in which the period of overall development of the movement of Koreans in Japan, a new era of prosperity of Chongryon, is ushered in under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , urgently requires the headquarters chairpersons to fulfill their responsibility and duty as leading officials of the regional guidance units on the flank front by making strenuous efforts with the determination that the existence of the Korean community and the future of rising generations are on their shoulders.

It stressed the need to encourage and expand the positive successes made in the movement for creating models in implementing the important letter of Kim Jong Un and thus decisively increase the strength and speed of intensive campaign.

It called upon the Chongryon Central Committee and the chairpersons of headquarters to bear in mind again the great political trust of Kim Jong Un and significantly greet the first publication anniversary of the important May 28 letter with new shining achievements in creating new models.

Then followed speeches of chairpersons of the Chongryon headquarters on the successes and experience gained in creating models for implementing the four tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un in his important letter.
