Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Coal Industry of the DPRK is taking practical measures to provide technical guidance for putting the production of coal-mining complexes and other coal mines across the country on a normal basis and to solve the problems facing them in a timely way.

Coal mining complexes and other coal mines across the country give precedence to tunneling.

Officials of the ministry organized a field workshop on advanced blasting methods in the working faces and offer technical training to the tunneling workers, teaching them how to better charge explosive.

In particular, they make sure that coal mines introduce advanced drilling and blasting methods suited to the specific conditions of their units.

Meanwhile, the ministry is fueling the enthusiasm of tunneling workers by organizing the first-stage high-speed tunneling competition.

In addition, it has striven to supply equipment, accessories and materials necessary for the current production, including compressors and winches, in close cooperation with the relevant sectors and units. -0-
