Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- To solve the rural question is the primary and strategic, most important affair set by the Workers' Party of Korea in realizing the socialist cause, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an editorial. The Party Central Committee aroused the whole Party to propping up the country's agriculture as early as possible, in the light of the lawful needs of our revolution, the present situation in the rural community and also the characteristics of the agricultural development presupposing the state investment, the editorial notes, and goes on to say: The reason for the whole Party's engagement in the rural development is associated with the urgent need for the sustained and stable growth of our agriculture, true to the idea and spirit of the recent Party Central Committee plenary meeting. The attainment of the grain production goal for this year and the building of a secure foundation for the future safe agricultural development are possible only when all the Party organizations and members have turned out to stir up the agricultural workers' patriotic passion for the revolution and struggle through a powerful ideological offensive and settle the knotty problems in farming substantially in a revolutionary and responsible manner. Our Party is providing the guaranteed guide for the purposeful and phased endeavors for the solution of the farming, considering it as a vital need directly related to the existence and development of the country, the destiny of the people and the future of the revolution. A rich crop is the duty and task of paramount importance for our revolution today whose success entirely depends on the role played by the Party organizations and members. All the Party organizations and officials and all the Party members should turn out as one in the struggle to attain the grain production goal for this year and implement the rural revolution programme in the new era, deeply mindful of the noble intention of the Party Central Committee giving a priority to the agricultural production at present to open up the phase of a surge for prosperity of the country backed by rural development. Sure is the victory of the endeavors for fundamental change in the agricultural production as there are the wise guidance of the ever-victorious WPK, the revolutionary and scientific guidelines for agricultural development, and the Party organizations and members absolutely faithful to the idea and leadership of the Party Central Committee.
