Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on March 22.

He in the message extended warm congratulations and comradely greetings to the general secretary and all the members of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on its 68th founding anniversary.

Noting that for the past 68 years since its foundation, the LPRP has victoriously led the Lao people's struggle for the country's independent development and prosperity, courageously braving all challenges and difficulties at home and abroad, the message said:

Today the Lao people are making fresh progress in the struggle to implement the resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party under the correct leadership of the Party headed by you.

Wishing you, the general secretary, greater success in your responsible work for the strengthening and development of the LPRP and the well-being of the Lao people, I express the firm belief that the traditional and comradely relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries would be steadily strengthened and developed in the future, too.
