Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, sent a congratulatory message to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on March 22 to mark the 68th anniversary of the founding of the LPRP.

He in the message extended heartfelt congratulations and comradely greetings to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP and all its members on the occasion of the anniversary.

The message said that in the past 68 years since its founding, the LPRP has victoriously organized and led the struggle of the Laotian people to achieve the country’s independent development and prosperity while resolutely overcoming all internal and external challenges and difficulties.

It noted that today the Laotian people are making fresh progress in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the 11th Party Congress under the correct leadership of the LPRP headed by the General Secretary.

Wishing the General Secretary greater success in his responsible work for the strengthening and development of the LPRP and the well-being of the Laotian people, the Korean leader expressed his firm conviction that the traditional and comradely ties of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries would be cemented and developed uninterruptedly in the future, too.
