West Coast Exchange, North Korea Watcher Conference, Sept. 2026

Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and puppet south Korean traitors are getting evermore frantic in their confrontation moves while resorting to the war drills for aggression which made the preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK a fait accompli. Youth and students in the DPRK burn their hearts to annihilate the U.S. imperialists and puppet south Korean traitors. Amid the growing will of the passionate youth across the country to join and rejoin the Korean People's Army and the mounting spirit of all-people resistance, youth and students met at the Youth Park Open-Air Theatre in the capital city of Pyongyang on Wednesday to vow to resolutely punish the U.S. imperialists and puppet south Korean traitors keen on reckless moves to stifle the DPRK. The meeting venue was full of the heroic spirit of the patriotic youth to wipe out the U.S. imperialists, the chieftain of aggression, and the puppet group of traitors, from the earth as befitting the main force of national defence who grew up under the care of the great Party. Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, and officials of the youth league took part in the meeting together with youth and students, where there were pledge speeches. The speakers said that the millions of young people are greatly enraged at a time when the situation in the DPRK reached the critical point of the outbreak of a war and the eve of explosion and their angry voices calling for mercilessly wiping out the U.S. imperialists and the group of traitors resound forth. The solemn declaration of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to react to nukes with nuclear weapons and frontal confrontation with all-out confrontation will serve as a sledgehammer to show the world how to punish the provocateurs, they said, vowing to take the lead in the great war for national reunification. They said that if the U.S. imperialists ignite a war, oblivious of the bitter defeat in the 1950s, they will keenly experience the price they have to pay for what they inflicted upon the nuclear weapons state and nuclear power. They vowed to reliably defend their beloved parents, brothers and sisters and dear hometowns and workplaces from the enemies' attack, calling for carrying out the production tasks and studying in a more revolutionary way and ceaselessly while holding arms in one hand and a hammer, sickle or a pen in the other with a high determination to annihilate the enemy. They said that the young vanguard across the country are waiting for an order of advance only, vowing to dedicate their lives to our only motherland and the victory of Korean-style socialism in the sacred war to defeat the enemy. All the participants loudly shouted slogans reflecting their strong will to mercilessly annihilate the hateful U.S. imperialists and the puppet south Korean traitors. The meeting demonstrated once again the unshakable faith and will of the successors to glorify the ever-victorious history and tradition of the dignified state through generations with the indomitable spirit and inexhaustible strength of the young vanguard who built a solid fortress around the great Party Central Committee. There took place a march of youth and students singing wartime songs in chorus on the same day. The youth and students marched in fine array along streets of the city, flying the flag of the DPRK which fluttered on the heights of victory by the Korean People's Army soldiers during the hard-fought war. The spirit of sure victory and militant stamina of the successors making a dynamic advance while singing in chorus the songs of immortal feats, songs on the theme of eternal victory, reassured the conviction of citizens that the victory in the struggle for defending the country and the revolution is in store for us as there is a large contingent of reliable youths.
