Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- True to the resolution of the plenary meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee for activating the socialist patriotic movement, the revolutionary mass movement, organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) at all levels in the DPRK launched a mass movement to increase the proportion of mechanization in farming work.
The Pyongyang City Committee of the UAWK made sure that the primary committees organized the work of repairing one tractor in their charge, and introduced and generalized the successes and experience gained in the course.
Union officials in South Phyongan Province conducted the on-site political work to arouse the masses to implementing the Party's agricultural policy and provided tractor accessories including bearings.
UAWK organizations in Anak, Ongjin and Sinchon counties of South Hwanghae Province have made a solution to the shortage of materials and accessories by tapping internal reserves.
Union officials in South Hamgyong Province helped in repairing and maintaining farm machines while living under the same roof with technicians and skilled workers on the spots.
Officials of the Kaesong Committee of the UAWK, too, visited farms in their charge to settle problems arising in ensuring the normal operation of tractors. -0-
