Officials and employees of the Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land andEnvironment Protection have produced tens of millions of trees, making an active contribution to the spring tree planting.
The tree nursery has given precedence to securing breeds and directed primary efforts to raising the fertility of soil to provide the favourable conditions for the growth of saplings.
It has conducted a substantial work to raise the technical knowledge and skills of the employees and promoted the growth of saplings while thoroughly observing the sci-tech requirements for their growth at every stage.
It has strengthened the blight predicting system and taken care of the nutrition of saplings of various species in a scientific and technological way, thus growing healthy pine-nut trees, metasequoia and apricot trees with high economic effectiveness in the open-air cultivating ground.
It has raised different kinds of saplings with good ornamental value by actively applying production methods suited to their ecological characteristics.
