Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- Officials of ministries and national institutions in the DPRK are now directing bigger efforts to assisting the socialist countryside, true to the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Senior officials make sure they are regularly informed of problems arising in the farming and take immediate measures to solve them in time.
Officials of the State Commission of Science and Technology active in Pyoksong County of South Hwanghae Province presented aid materials to the farmers and are helping them.
Those of the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport and the Public Service Guidance Bureau are engaged in finding out new land and improving irrigation canals at farms in Samchon and Paechon counties.
The Maritime Administration provided materials necessary for raising the operation rate of farm machines and has carried out farming work assigned to it without fail.
Besides, many other officials of ministries and national institutions are taking responsible measures to provide labor and material assistance to farms. -0-
