Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The 2023 sports contest among officials of national institutions which began on March 13 closed with due ceremony at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street on Thursday.
The players displayed high mental power, team spirit and skills in the matches including basketball, volleyball, Taekwon-Do and tug of war, divided into four groups.
Teams of the Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Public Health, the Unha Trade Bureau and the Foreign Languages Publishing House took the first place in total group standings.
Present at the ceremony were Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, officials concerned, those of commissions, ministries and national institutions and players who distinguish themselves in mass sports activities.
At the closing ceremony, the total standings and standings in each event were announced and citations and medals were conferred on the successful organizations and players.
Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, made a closing address. -0-
