The efforts of the international community are gaining momentum to ensure regional security and stable development through promoted mutual cooperation.

Shortly ago, Singapore and Indonesia concluded agreements in such sectors as energy, sustainability, healthcare and human resources development.

The defence ministers of the two countries also held talks. They highlighted the major mutual cooperation practice in the defence field between the two countries in 2022 and signed an updated joint document on defence cooperation affirming the two countries’ commitment to the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the core fields of mutual interests.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe and Zambia agreed to step up the construction of a large-scale hydroelectric power station with joint efforts. A 181-metre-high arch dam is planned to be built in a ravine about 54km away from Mosio Tunya, or the Victoria Falls, on the River Zambezi on the border of the two countries. The power plant is reportedly to be built and operated by the two countries for generating up to 2 130MW of electricity and power distribution is to be ensured jointly.

During his recent India visit, the Cuban minister of trade and foreign investment attended the summit meeting of an association organized by the Indian industrial federation and ministry of trade and industry and said that the Cuban delegation’s visit was aimed at boosting bilateral relations in the economic field. Stressing that great possibility of cooperation in pharmaceutical industry, bioengineering and other fields where the two countries made some progress are factors encouraging Indian businesses to make investment and conduct business activities in Cuba, he discussed the issue of bilateral cooperation in such fields as foodstuff production, tourism, healthcare, electric power system including renewable energy and  oil development.

Recently, the secretary general of the Iranian national security supreme council visited Iraq and had a talk with the Iraqi Prime Minister. After the talk, the security chiefs of the two countries, with the prime minister in attendance, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the security field. The document included the issue of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the security field including the protection and regulation of the border. That day, talks were held between the Iraqi national security advisor and the Iranian secretary general. They discussed practical issues to promote cooperation in the security field.

As mentioned above, many countries exert themselves to build a new just and prosperous society and achieve regional independence by displaying the spirit of unity and cooperation, which will have a great influence on the changing world.
