The DPRK has already and clearly warned that the US and south Korea’s military bluff and temerity do not work on it at all and such moves are no more than a wrong behaviour of bringing themselves closer to a grave danger.

But the warmongers’ desperate acts are going to the extremes.

The US and south Korea staged large-scale joint military exercises, Freedom Shield, simulating an all-out war against the DPRK for 11 days from March 13, the longest-ever of their kinds. Their war hysteria is running up to the climax with the start of Ssangyong joint landing drill.

The US staged an air-to-air live firing and air-to-ground bombing drill, aimed at increasing the capability of precision strike at the DPRK’s “core targets,” in the West Sea of Korea by enlisting the south Korean puppet air force and the 51st Fighter Wing of the 7th US Air Force for five days from March 20 when the Ssangyong drill was launched. Then, it conducted a joint tactical drill for “occupying city” in the DPRK by enlisting the south Korean puppet armed forces for four days from March 26.

The Ssangyong drill, which involved dozens of warships and other vessels including the US Navy’s amphibious assault ship Makin Island carrying scores of F-35B Stealth fighters, various types of fighters and amphibious assault armoured vehicles, the US 1st Marine Expeditionary Unit and the US carrier strike group centred on Nimitz, which are supposed to be additionally dispatched first from the US mainland in case of contingency on the Korean peninsula, the special warfare units of its satellite countries and the south Korean puppet armed forces, went through a provocative stage, called “decisive action.”

The “decisive action” stage, allegedly the “core of the landing operation,” was conducted by the vast combined US and the south Korean puppet forces in the order of landing, assault and occupation of the target in the air and on the sea, with a “large-scale fire support” aimed at the target area for landing.

With the beginning of the drill, special warfare units of the US, south Korea and satellite countries launched a “landing attack” by using C-130 transport aircraft, and on the coast the marine shock forces, which had been on board landing vessels, “advanced” into an area simulating part of the territory of the DPRK on landing assault armoured vehicles and landing craft air cushions.

On the “decisive action” stage, the combined marines were to land in the relevant area with the fire support of fighters and warships of the US and south Korean puppet forces and then move to the target area to seize and secure the beachhead and fulfill their mission. It was, from A to Z, an aggressive drill to occupy the DPRK’s territory through preemptive strike.

Meanwhile, two B-52H nuclear strategic bombers of the US Air Force flew into the air of the Korean peninsula again on March 30 to openly pose a threat to the DPRK. At the same time, the chief of the carrier strike group and other warmongers bluffed, saying that they also have various means and can mount attack in any sphere.

And the stealth fighters from the US Navy’s amphibious assault ship Makin Island conducted a drill for striking ground targets in the sky above Kangwon Province of south Korea from March 30 to April 1.

The US plans to stage another joint naval drill in the East Sea of Korea next week with the involvement of the naval forces of its own, Japan and south Korea , including the US aircraft carrier Nimitz which entered the Pusan operation base on March 28.

The US and the south Korean puppets are openly crying out for the “occupation of Pyongyang” and “beheading operation”, which they had secretly pushed forward in the past for fear, and getting hell-bent on the drill to carry them into practice. This shows that their hostile acts against the DPRK have reached the worst phase.

Those of the defence and state departments of the US administration have parroted that the military drills with south Korea are defensive and routine ones that have lasted for a long time. But, in view of the above-mentioned facts, they can never conceal with such veils as “defensive” and “routine” their aggressive colours as provocateurs and the fact that the current exercises are a deliberate military actions prompted by their sinister schemes and options to wreck peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and the region.

The US and the south Korean puppets openly announced that they would lead the recent war exercises to the largest-ever “combined joint firepower annihilation drill” in forthcoming June by enlisting all the ground, naval and air combined forces and latest weapons. This reminds the people and army of the DPRK of June 1950, which subjected them to war calamity, and further arouse their high vigilance.

The US and its followers should never forget the fact that their rival state actually possesses the nuclear attack capability and the characteristics of the people and army of the DPRK which do not make empty talk as well.

Now that the US and the south Korean puppets have openly committed a military provocation against the DPRK, the latter’s option will correspond to that.

It will be quite clear how the DPRK’s nukes will be used if the war deterrence does not work on those who are running amuck unafraid of nuclear weapons.

They should be prudent if they truly want to avoid their unlucky catastrophe, and should be mindful that they will have to pay as much as they resort to rash acts.
