Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Officials and researchers of the Pedagogical Institute are all engaged on implementing the tasks set forth at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on creating and introducing examination methods capable of comprehensively assessing the intellectual and creative application abilities of students.
The institute worked out a plan for implementing the Party's resolutions and gave precedence to the work of identifying the research forces and selecting the units for introducing the model.
They went to Mangyongdae Revolutionary School,
Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 and other units in the city to learn in detail about the situation, and analyzed the opinions of educators.
On this basis, they set up evaluation indices and buckled down to making the standard examination questions.
Officials and researchers of the institute are pooling their wisdom and enthusiasm to make the new examination methods positively contribute to developing education into the competency-based one which gives full play to the intellectual and creative application abilities of students and to training the younger generation into development- and creation-oriented talents.
The institute works hard to perfect the examination questions worked out under the phased plan in a more practical way through actual application. -0-
