Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, on April 12.
President Xi Jinping in the message expressed heartfelt thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending a congratulatory message on his election as president of the People's Republic of China.
Noting that China and the DPRK are the friendly neighbors linked by the same mountain and rivers, the message said:
The traditional China-DPRK friendship has weathered the trials of the changed international situation for a long time, constantly maintained the trend of its development and got stronger with the passage of time.
The international and regional situations are now changing seriously and in a complicated way.
President Xi Jinping expressed in the message his willingness to encourage the bilateral friendship and cooperation to steadily develop onto a higher stage, provide the two countries and two peoples with better happiness, and make fresh and positive contributions to promoting peace, stability, development and prosperity in the region and the world by strengthening the strategic communication and jointly guiding the orientation of the development of China-DPRK relations with General Secretary Kim Jong Un .
Recalling the successful sessions of the Chinese National People’s Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the message went on:
All the Party members, the entire army and the peoples of different nations in China are making courageous advance with redoubled efforts in the new journey, getting united and working hard to build a modernized socialist state and promote the great prosperity of the Chinese nation in a comprehensive way.
The message sincerely wished the fraternal Korean people steady, fresh and bigger successes in the cause of socialist construction under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Un .
It also sincerely hoped that Kim Jong Un would enjoy good health and everything would go well for him. -0-
