Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected construction site of the Hwangju-Kindung waterway.
While inspecting various places of the construction site, Choe Ryong Hae gave a pep talk to the builders who are performing labor feats in the grand nature-remaking project for adjusting and improving the country's irrigation system in hearty response to the resolutions of the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.
He called on the officials to bear in mind the intention of the Party Central Committee that set the completion of the overall irrigation system as a priority for guaranteeing the stable development of agriculture at present, to actively conduct the field political work for arousing the spiritual strength of the builders, to organize operation and command more scrupulously and to step up the project at the final stage.
He also called for further raising the quality level of construction in line with the requirements of the Party policy and the state law of construction, for arranging the construction sites in a responsible manner to remove hurdles in environment protection and immediate farming processes, and for paying deep attention to providing the builders with good working and living conditions.
