North Phyongan Province of the DPRK directs efforts to building enough facilities for securing water to hold off the influence of disastrous abnormal weather and ensure stable farming.
The province has repaired and secured thousands of wells and pools to provide guarantee for minimizing the damage from disastrous weather condition.
The province paid primary attention to correctly grasping the area of farmland vulnerable to drought, including fields planted with early crops, and to taking thorough measures for water supply.
Meanwhile, it took steps to make more thorough preparations for minimizing damage by drought and fierce heat.
