Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK has made successes in the research into agricultural science.
Its scientists established a method of selecting right soil for double-cropping based on geographical information technology, thus opening up a prospect for putting the cultivation of wheat, barley and other earlier crops on a more scientific basis.
Researchers and employees expanded the facilities for producing natural bioactivators with capacity of tens of times more than the one of last year and turned out a large amount of plant nutritive agent to be supplied to rural areas across the country.
Dispatched to the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, scientists and technicians laid a foundation for boosting the fertilizer production while saving raw materials.
They also completed several proposals helpful to accelerating the modernization of farm machine factories and raising the accuracy of processing accessories.
They offer innovative technical proposals for the maintenance and reinforcement of irrigation works to prevent drought and flooding and for the completion of irrigation system. -0-
