Loyalty to Leader Is WPK's Traits and Tradition: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun says in an article on Monday that the invincibility, inexhaustible strength and bright prospect of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) lie in the boundless loyalty to the leader. Stressing that the special traits and tradition of our Party, which regards loyalty to the leader as its lifeblood, are a fundamental guarantee for invariably preserving and strengthening its revolutionary character and nature as the party of the leader, the article goes on to say: Our Party has been able to firmly preserve its revolutionary character and nature as the party of the leader and record the longest history shining with victory and glory. It is because loyalty to the leader has thoroughly prevailed over the whole Party as the Party's traits and tradition. The traits and political climate peculiar to the WPK which was born with the brilliant tradition of the anti-Japanese war are based on the transparent revolutionary faith and indomitable fighting spirit of devotedly defending President Kim Il Sung politically and ideologically in any adversity. The WPK, which has recorded a history of nearly 80 years as the ruling party, going through all sorts of upheavals, is firmly maintaining its revolutionary character and nature as the party of the leader and powerfully guiding the revolutionary cause of Juche under the uplifted banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, invariably holding President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem as its eternal leaders. The Party's unique traits and tradition, the lifeblood of which is loyalty to the leader, are a decisive guarantee for strengthening the ideological and volitional unity and revolutionary cohesion of the whole Party centered on the leader in every way. The unity and cohesion of the party is a fundamental matter in building a revolutionary party, and its solidity depends on how to rally all the party members around the leader. The most solid unity and cohesion of the party is the unity in thinking and purpose, morality and sense of obligation based on boundless loyalty to the leader. The party with the great history and tradition firmly carried forward is invincible. Only victory and glory are always in store for the WPK dynamically advancing under the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
